The BS5163 ductile iron body Metal to Metal Seat Gate Valve simple design makes it one of the most common water works valves in use. It can be applied to both liquid and gas services, although the ductile iron metal seat gate valve is mostly used in liquid services. The Gunmetal Seat Gate Valve With Bypass was designed primarily for on-off service, where the PN16 BS5163 ductile iron gate valve is operated infrequently. It is not recommended to partly open the Ductile Iron Gate Valve With Bypass for adjustment of flow rate or emergent pressure relief blow-off.
